# iOS 12 compatibility

The backend detects iOS 12 in `resources/themes/backend/views/partials/head.blade.php` and adds an `ios12` class to `<html>`. The compatibility rules are at the end of `resources/themes/backend/assets/css/helpdesk.css`.
|
|
|
|
The iOS 12 dashboard deliberately uses flexbox instead of CSS Grid and uses inline SVG for critical shell/dashboard icons so it does not depend on modern Font Awesome webfont behaviour. Modern browsers continue to use the normal theme.
